I am a Latina, born in the Caribbean. When my mom left the island, she brought us to New York City and after that, New Jersey.
My mom has taught me to try fixing things instead of complaining. My dad has taught me that a change of scenery can happen by opening a book.
Friends and family often come to me with questions about products, events, restaurants or how to save money. I help with research, share my experiences and opinion, as needed. I spend time cooking, traveling, and trying different fitness techniques such as yoga, dancing and walking.
My teen takes turns being proud of me, and being annoyed when I ask her to think “three steps ahead”. I read often – especially since starting college in Fall 2010 – write occasionally and volunteer regularly.

If you don’t know us but see us together, you can tell we’re related. Look at our banner photo – both making the same facial expression at the same time.
I’m a regular kid, going to public school in New Jersey. My ethnic background is very mixed – five different classifications/ countries.
I like reading, volleyball, vampires (especially Stephenie Meyer), my bed, and reading (yes – I know reading is in there twice). I dislike annoying people, stupidity and crocodile tears.
My three favorite foods are chicken, chocolate and cheese – fried chicken served with white bread at Gus’s Fried Chicken on Front Street in Memphis, Tennessee, nine-layer chocolate cake with a tall glass of milk at Rustler’s Rooste in Phoenix, Arizona, and mozzarella sticks at (moment of silence please) Fat Annie’s Truck Stop in Manhattan, New York.
